The Yamaha Music Scholarship is aimed at nurturing and developing musical talents in Malaysia. It provides financial assistance to full-time music students who are currently studying at local University/ College.

• Only Malaysian, full time music students.
• Applicants are not older than 22 years of age (born in OR after the year of 1994 ),
• Majoring in either Piano, Electone Organ, Strings, Woodwind, Brass or Percussion at a University/ College in Malaysia.
• Having a minimum qualification of ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall Grade 8 or Yamaha Grade 5 for Piano, Organ Electone and Strings.
• Having a minimum qualification of ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall Grade 5 or Yamaha Grade 7 for other instruments not listed in (i)

Six (6) successful candidates will be awarded a scholarship of Two Thousand Ringgit
Malaysia (RM2,000) each.

Music

• Download and complete the application form, which should be countersigned and validated by your respective Principle / Head of Music Faculty/ Professor.

Audition Requirements:

• Prepare two (2) contrasting pieces of approximately 10 minutes in length.

General Interview:

• Please bring along the original copies of the pieces and a photocopied set for the scholarship selection committee as reference, which will be retained and destroyed after the audition.
