The Hong Leong Foundation is offering scholarships to individuals intending to pursue their further studies in a Diploma or an Undergraduate Degree Programme.

A) Eligibility Requirements

1. Malaysian citizens aged between 17 and 25 years.

2. From a household with a total monthly income of RM5,000 or below.

3. Demonstrate a consistently strong academic record with a minimum academic result of:
   – 8As in SPM or 6As in UEC; and/or
   – CGPA 3.50 in STPM/Matriculation/A-Level/Foundation/Diploma/Degree

4. Have applied for and are expecting to receive an offer for a diploma or undergraduate degree programme in any field at a local institution recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Please refer to the MQA website for more information.

5. Must be enrolled in full-time studies in any course or discipline.

6. Demonstrate genuine financial need to pursue further studies.

7. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

8. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate leadership qualities, excel in co-curricular activities and/or sports, and/or actively engage in community service.

B) Application Instructions

1. You are required to complete all compulsory sections and provide complete and accurate information, as these details are essential for our evaluation process. If shortlisted, you will need to present the original or certified true copies of supporting documents during the interview.

2. Please also include your “Reason for Applying for This Scholarship” in the application form, with a response of no more than 200 words. All submissions must be original and will be assessed using plagiarism detection software.

3. The following documents are a MUST to submit to process your application:
   – Latest examination results
   – Total household monthly income
   – Parent’s or guardian’s NRIC number
